The CYO is a church sponsored organization created to provide opportunities for youth to flourish in a nurturing environment while performing meaningful community service, experiencing Christian fellowship, and developing spiritual, social, and individual growth. Membership is open to individuals in the 7th Grade through 12th Grade.

St. Jane CYO … Striving to reach out to our local young people in order to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus, their Catholic Faith and develop into the healthy young men and women God calls them to be through a comprehensive program inspired by Renewing the Vision from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Our program strives to include the following components: social development (activities), prayer/spirituality, social justice/service, and knowledge/formation of/in the Catholic faith, in ways that are attractive to our youth today. Most of all we recognize the importance of family and the role they play in their children’s faith life and strive to work together with parents/guardians and the community at large.

Activities Include (to name a few):

Local Activates (Activities sponsored by the Parish CYO)

• Coffee with Christ
• Sunday Meetings
• Different Social Activities (ex. Game Night, water park, bowling, etc.)
• Retreats
• Service Opportunities
• Mission Trip
• Fundraisers

Archdiocesan Activities  (activities done together with the Catholic Youth of New Orleans, sponsored by the CYO Youth and Young Adult Office of the Archdiocese)

• World Youth Day
• Abbey Youth Fest
• Teen Cross
• Catholic Leadership Institute (CLI)
• Leadership Celebration (recognition of parish leaders by the Archbishop)
• National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC)
• March for Life
