Extraordinary Ministers assist the priests and deacons in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.  Ministers are trained by the Archdiocesan Worship Office and appointed by the Archbishop for terms of service.  Some ministers may also assist in bringing communion to the sick and homebound (or hospitalized), and are sent from the Eucharistic assembly for this service after the communion procession.

Admission to this Ministry is currently extremely limited.
