St. Jane Family Reach Alliance participates as a Host Congregation through Family Reach Alliance of St. Tammany, which furnishes lodging her at St. Jane in Abita Springs and provides nutritious meals for homeless families (up to 14 people) for one week a few times a year. St. Jane is proud and excited to be a part of this opportunity to demonstrate the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy in a practical and life-affirming way.
Volunteers are the Heart and Soul of Family Reach Alliance and there are many ways that you can help. Whether you provide a hot meal, arrange activities for children, serve a meal, stay overnight as a host, help with setup, housekeeping, or breakdown, you can make a difference in the lives of families who have lost their homes and are on the road to regaining independence.
We are excited to be hosting families once again at St. Jane de Chantal during the week of September 29 -October 6, 2024. Check back for our sign up for supplies, meals, and volunteer time. Mark your calendars to sign up in person at Coffee and Donuts in St. Jane Hall on Sunday, September 1st.
